"The Indian Burying Ground" by Philip Freneau. Freneau was known as the poet of the American Revolution and was one of the first to idealize the American Indian in verse.
"So You Wanna Be an Indian" by Unknown. An often forgotten side of being an Indian in today's society.
"Take up the White Man's Burden" - Rudyard Kipling. Not based on Native Americans but this poem tells us much of our own history.
